Santos Family

Rose Santos

My 16-year-old daughter, Raquel, was always the most high energy, happiest, and self-confident among all of her friends. But, then, all of a sudden, things started changing. Her school nurse sent me a letter saying that my daughter needs special one on one attention….

Thanks to healthy food, Raquel is now off all medications and has a beautiful future ahead!

JACYNTHA KAMOR TAYLOR PRESENTING A RECIPE

JACYNTHA KAMOR TAYLOR’S TESTIMONIAL

Even with all my books and online resources, I’m a kinesthetic learner and really did need hands-on experience to learn. Betsy provided this through live demos, her teachings in the class, and in her internship (which I did). She is very generous and shares so many resources and much information. She also made it all seem easy and approachable.

Tracey Sterns

Tracey Stearns

The kids were eating healthy food… they were excited about Kale which I didn’t even know existed.

Diane Moody

DIANE MOODY SHARES

The three primary reasons I chose to come to this class was 1) to learn how to shop, prepare, and sustain healthier eating habits; 2) to share with family, friends, and others the knowledge I’ve gained with confidence; and 3) to learn how the body can heal itself naturally with a healthy diet.

Our Hosts

Gladys Sutton

I began my journey to wellness in 2011 when my husband was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes.  I say journey because that’s exactly what it was. A long road of ups and downs that kept providing new learning opportunities.  By years of experimenting, I learned the key concept of listening to my own body. Sounds simple, but it was a difficult concept to grasp when everyone was shoving different programs down my throat.

We eventually found Dr. Joel Fuhrman and loved everything he had to offer.  I then went on to reading countless books and articles about health, adopting the pieces that resonated with me.  Once my husband’s Diabetes was under control through lifestyle changes, I knew that I found my calling to help others find their path to wellness.

I am now a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (IIN) and Diabetic Wellness Expert specializing in holistic approaches to healing chronic inflammation and illness.  With a passion to further my education, I am now studying to become Functional Medicine Practitioner to serve people with more complex health problems.

As a wife and a mom of five boys health is the most important thing to us.  I like to always remember. Who you were, who you are, and who you will be are three different people.

David Sutton

When David Sutton is traveling, you can usually find him carrying a bucket of fruit & salad around for lunch. Having formerly been a talented musician, composer and photographer. David was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes in December of 2011 and turned to health as a new passion. He has personally navigated 22 years of debilitating chronic illnesses and learned to overcome them through diet and lifestyle changes.  David is thankful for the opportunity to guide others in their own path to better health.

During the day, David is a buyer for a family owned and operated business. He created, built up a maintains a successful toy division for the company. Year after year sales continues to grow and exceed sales expectations. He has many other responsibilities as a buyer, but when David gets into something. He usually gets into it hardcore and will do it to the best of his ability. His health transformation was no different.

When David isn’t working. You can usually find him swimming, biking, running or spending time with his family. Having been formerly overweight and no exercise experience David has since then completed 3 New York City Marathons, multiple triathlons which include distances up to 70.3 miles. He’s even completed 100-mile bike rides.

David Sutton has been dealing with Type II Diabetes for 7 years with the massive support of his wife and children. He has dealt with depression, high blood pressure, ADHD and Chronic Cysts. David has a been fighting diabetes naturally and managed to remove all medications from his lifestyle, lost more than 60 pounds and took control of his life.

David’s health transformation has given him a new lease on life. He studied many doctors that treat this condition naturally and ran with the information (pun intended).  He has read more than a dozen books on this lifestyle and follow’s many natural plant-based physicians. David’s knowledge in this lifestyle has given him happiness to share his success with other people. He has made it his mission to teach, help and guide others. David’s hopes and dreams he can pay his success forward so, that other too can feel like they’ve been reborn!
