“Eat to Thrive” Teaching Assistant (non-paid)

Opportunity to receive Health Educator Certification

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about promoting our mission: to eliminate obesity, chronic disease and malnutrition, especially in children, through education and advocacy of healthy living.
  • Interest in holistic healthcare education
  • Enjoy food preparations and presentations of recipes
  • Works well as a team member, flexible and punctual
  • Availability on Wed. from 4 to 10 PM plus additional 4 hours (flexible)
  • Experience in Power Point or Keynote, Microsoft word, Excel, iPhoto and Social Media, Mac proficient
  • Car required – Office in Waltham; class in West Newton

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and administrative duties at Waltham office in addition to Wednesday class time.
  • Assist in classroom instruction
  • Must attend the 10 week, 30 credit course from 6:00pm-8:30pm on Wednesdays as a student (at least one quarter; see website tab for dates, syllabus and description of Eat to Thrive: 10 weeks to Life Long Healthy Habits and Healthy Living www.OptimumHealthSolution.org) exempt from tuition of $545 in exchange for internship duties.

 

Communication Associate (non-paid)

Qualifications:

  • Experience with YouTube preferred

  • Filming one hour lectures for You Tube and on-line course
